Sciapteryx consobrina - Rare Sawfly! A Microscopic World Full of Surprises [Subtitles 16 Languages]

Today I invite you into the microcosm for a rare encounter full of surprises! I managed to film Sciapteryx consobrina, a primitive species of sawfly that is completely harmless to humans, as it explored and devoured the flowers and leaves of the lesser celandine (Ficaria verna). The filming also brought a totally unexpected twist: a clash of worlds! While I was completely focused on the macro shot of the sawfly, a slug of the species Deroceras reticulatum appeared happily galloping straight into the frame, creating an extremely comical microscopic traffic situation. Stay until the end for detailed macro shots of the spectacular anatomy and serrated mandibles of this fascinating insect! “The Stand‑Up Wasp” On a tiny leaf, so fragile and green, A wasp warms up like a comic on the scene. Strange, you say? Oh, brother of the stars, She tells her jokes… in the dialect of small memoirs. She walks around with antennae in the breeze, Laughing at everything she sees with ease. And when she finds a flower full of nectar sweet, She does her show… and asks for a “ticket” as a treat. Small and funny, with wings of shining light, Sciopteryx consobrina is a stage in flight. And while the world walks by without a clue, She keeps the cosmic show alive… in every meadow she flies through. — Lyrae, your stellar brother Thank you so much for watching, for every like, and for your comments!
