127th Anniversary of the Philippine Army 03/22/2024

Camp O’Donnell, Tarlac City March 22, 2024 The Philippine Army (PA) celebrates its 127th anniversary at Camp O’Donnell, Tarlac City on March 22, 2024. Established on the same day in 1897, the PA has evolved into a multi-functional force throughout the years. Bearing the celebration theme, ‘Matatag na Hukbong Katihan para sa Bagong Pilipinas’, the PA remains steadfast amidst the challenges as it fulfills its duty as a strong force for the ‘Bagong Pilipinas’ (New Philippines). This is the first time that the Philippine Army is celebrating its anniversary program outside of its headquarters. Camp O’Donnell serves as home of its Training and Doctrine Command. Today’s event showcases some of its assets on the ground that are being used for internal security and anti-terrorism operations, as well as for its peace and humanitarian efforts.
