In other words: when science fails, because it is neither taught nor interpreted with the necessary independence and rigor, philosophies, religions, and ideologies triumph. Philosophy is the religion of those who think they are intelligent. It is, in fact, the ventriloquist of all morality, all religion, all magic. The inquisition of the sciences... and the enthusiastic applause of the ignorant and fanatics. As a civilization, our destiny is to disappear in less than 50 years. Any other human society is stronger and more competent than we are at facing reality.
