Offense Is the Trap Keeping You From Intimacy With God | Freedom from Offense Part 1 | Alita Reynolds | Women of Faith If you have felt like something is blocking your closeness with God, this episode will help you name it and remove it. In this episode, I kick off this new series by sharing how offense works like a subtle trap that hardens the heart and steals intimacy, and how Jesus invites you into real freedom through repentance and forgiveness. In this episode, we talk about: You can love Jesus and still have a hidden wall in your heart, and God can reveal what is really there. The heart can be deceitful, which is why we need the Lord to search us and show us what we cannot see on our own. Sin hardens the heart over time, and offense is often the hidden root behind bitterness, anger, envy, and strife. God refines our hearts like gold, using the heat of trials to bring impurities to the surface so they can be removed. Offense is not a small issue, it produces bad fruit and affects your relationships, your peace, and the people around you. Jesus said offenses will come, not if but when, and you still have the choice to stay offended or live free. Pride keeps you stuck in blame, but humility opens the door to repentance, healing, and truth. Condemnation is not from the Lord, conviction is an invitation to come closer and be cleansed. The enemy uses subtle deception to pull you off course, and the Word of God keeps you aligned with truth. Freedom begins with an honest prayer, asking Jesus to reveal where offense is hiding so you can repent and move forward. I’m wildly cheering you!
