Silence Your CamVac! Build This Cheap DIY Whisper Box

After using my Record Power CamVac in the shop for a couple of years now, I decided it was finally time to tackle the noise and build a dedicated whisper box/baffle box to quiet things down. The best part? This incredibly effective project only cost me $16 out of pocket! I used leftover 4-inch sewer and drain pipe along with scrap wood I had on hand, meaning my only expense was Acoustic Foam Panels for the interior baffles. In this video, I walk you through the design, the simple math behind how it cuts down the harsh high-frequency whine, and a real-world before and after sound test. This video was inspired by a video by Fagerjord Harboe, Etne, Norway.    • CamVac with noise baffle   If you’d like to support my work—or simply treat me to a coffee—you can visit: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/mikepeace3Y Every bit of support genuinely helps, and I’m truly grateful for it. After using my Cam Vac dust extractor for a couple years in my wood shop, I finally decided it was time to deal with the issue of the noise and build a dedicated whisper box or baffle box to reduce that. The best part of this do it yourself project, it only cost me $16 out of pocket because I already had on hand scraps of wood and some leftover pieces of 4 inch sewer and drain pipe left over from my original dust collector setup. This cost effective solution demonstrates how you can save money by utilizing materials already on hand.
