Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon Original Watch Review | aBlogtoWatch Ariel Adams of aBlogtoWatch reviews the Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon Original watch (Ref. DM2118B-SCJ-BK). This diver’s-style watch comes in a 42mm-wide stainless steel case and is water resistant to 200m. The sandwich-style dial utilizes a top black dial with cutouts for the hour markers overlaid onto a layer of flat tritium gas tubes, and this same effect is used on the rotating sapphire crystal bezel. Inside is a modified Swiss ETA 2836 movement, which Ball refers to as their caliber BALL RR1102-CSL. Functions include the time and calendar with day and date indicators, and is COSC Chronometer-certified. The watch also offers anti-magnetic shielding of up to 1,000 Gauss as well as a series of anti-shock mechanisms.
