Higher Disley - Lyme Park - Bowstones - Black Rocks walk ¦ East Cheshire/High Peak

Join me for a crisp seasonal walk on the edge of East Cheshire and High Peak. We start from a small layby in Higher Disley, before descending into Lyme Park past Bollinhurst Reservoir. We then rise up to visit Lyme Park Cage, and descend past Lyme Hall and out of the rear of the park. A short climb through more open moorland takes us up to Bowstones before the final leg of the walk taking us below Whaley Moor and across Black Rocks. The walk has some fantastic views across Cheshire and also up over to Kinder Scout and beyond. In total I measured it at just under 9 miles.
