Berlin School Experiment 3 (Volca Bass & Keys, SU-10, SQ-1)

This is the second part of a larger jam, the beginning of which was published in my previous video (   • Berlin School Experiment 2 (SU-10, Volca K...  ). There is a small overlap (about 10s) between the two videos, between the fade out of the previous and the fade in of this one. The Volca keys is using a new register, and there is more experimentation on the FM600. There is also a happy accident towards the end of the track. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it. For better enjoying this music, please listen in 720p, as YouTube compression also affects the sound quality. As in the first part, the samples on the SU-10 are taken from a public domain audiobook: The Art of War, by Sun Tzu, translated by Lionel Giles, and read by Paul Sze (https://archive.org/details/art_war_p.... The SQ-1 controls both Volcas via MIDI (via a spliter cable) using two different channels. The SU-10 is manually activated. As for the audio path: the Volca keys goes into the FX600 (Chorus) and then to a small passive mono mixer; the audio from the Volca Bass is split into two mono channels: one goes into the FM600 and the other goes directly into the mixer. The audio from the SU-10 goes through the FAB Overdrive to give it a little bit more weight and grit, and then into the mixer. The output from the mixer goes into the Nux Time Core on Tap Tempo mode, and finally into the RV600. The session was recorded and mastered in audacity (via a Focusrite 2i2) and the video was edited in Kdenlive.
