What is a p-value? by Daniel Lakens
Some researchers believe science would improve if we stopped using p-values. I don’t think it’s so easy. What we need, is for people to understand how to correctly interpret p-values. In this lecture, you will see how p-values are a function of the power of the test, and will learn how to interpret p-values correctly. This video is part of my free online course on statistics: https://www.coursera.org/learn/statis... Can't get enough? Some suggestions for additional reading: The ultimate discussion of p-values and how to interpret them is provided by: Nickerson, R. S. (2000). Null hypothesis significance testing: a review of an old and continuing controversy. Psychological methods, 5(2), 241-301.
