Fr. Alexander Sherbrooke & Mary Eberstadt Talk the State of the West

CIC Panula Chair in Christian Culture Mary Eberstadt welcomed and interviewed a very special guest, Fr. Alexander Sherbrooke, for a discussion on the state of the West. Many Americans have come to know of the work of Fr. Alexander Sherbrooke in his two decades as pastor of a wondrously active Catholic church in the heart of London’s frenetic Soho neighborhood. With its mission to evangelize the post-modern world by means of the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, St. Patrick Catholic Church is known as an energetic hub overflowing with London’s spiritually hungry young adults who come for the sacraments, prayer, intellectually engaging programs, and opportunities to serve London’s poorest of the poor. Central London has the highest population of homelessness in the United Kingdom, and Fr. Sherbrooke has offered care and opportunities of physical and spiritual nourishment to people experiencing homelessness through open houses, meals, socials such as their Sunday movie nights, and opportunities for prayer.
