Carl and Clare’s wedding at Apton Hall in Rochford, Essex, was a day filled with family, friends, laughter and love. The sun shone brightly over the stunning Essex countryside, with just a brief rain shower as the groomsmen arrived, a quick sprinkle of luck before a beautiful day of celebration. Apton Hall, with its charming courtyard, rustic barns and rolling views, provided the perfect backdrop for their day. Every corner of this venue feels full of character, from the ceremony barn and open lawns to the warm, inviting reception space where guests gather to celebrate long into the evening. The day flowed effortlessly, filled with smiles, heartfelt moments and laughter. The magician kept everyone entertained, while the children played games on the grass running, laughing and making memories of their own. As golden hour arrived, we captured the couple’s portrait shoot and those breathtaking sunset shots that made the day feel truly magical. It was a joy to work alongside my good friend and talented photographer Gary Derbridge, who helped make the day relaxed and fun from start to finish.
