Yeah… the Truthear Pure Is Good (My Take)
The Truthear Pure is a different version from the same company who made the Hexa (Original). I actually returned the original Hexa because the bass was just too anemic for my taste — it felt thin compared to other IEMs like the IE200, ER2XR, or Blessing 2. The Hexa Pure, on the other hand, fixes that problem nicely. It adds more bass weight without going overboard, making the sound feel fuller and more satisfying. I was also worried about the treble since some reviews said it might dull female vocals or hurt clarity. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case at all. Vocals remain clear and natural, and the overall tuning is warm-neutral — not bright, not V-shaped, just balanced and smooth. I tested these with the MOTU M2, and they sounded clean and well-resolved without any fuss. Overall, the Truthear Pure is a big step up from the original and a solid choice if you want a smooth, enjoyable sound without going bass-head. This older video might be a good reference too since I mention the same IEMS as well as the original Hexas in this vid: • Sennheiser IE 200 - An underrated gem
