Born in the USSR: Dr.Brovkin's Life Story part 1.

This is part one of a long interview I had with Karissa Tauber. In this segment we talk anout my childhood in Leningrad, USSR in the 1950s and 1960s. The ideas in the air, the lifes and views of my immediate family, my Kewish Grandfather and my Russian grandmother, the cultural , economic and political differences between the young and the old, the Russian and Jewish and the development of soviet society as a whole. Dr. Brovkin is an American historian of Russia, now retired, a former Professor of Soviet Hitory at Harvard University, he is the author of numerous books on Russian History and politics.
