Ranking The NEOGEO AES+ Launch Titles (Nov.12th 2026)

The Neo Geo AES+ is coming, and the ninja is officially hyped. In this video, I’m ranking all ten Neo Geo AES+ launch titles based on how excited I am to play them on the new hardware. This is not a worst-to-best ranking — I’m excited for all of these games — but I’m breaking them into two brackets: the bottom five and the top five. The lineup includes Magician Lord, Over Top, The King of Fighters 2002, Samurai Shodown V Special, Pulstar, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, Shock Troopers, Metal Slug, Twinkle Star Sprites, and Big Tournament Golf. We’ve got original Neo Geo history, brutal quarter munchers, fighting game legends, tough shmups, arcade chaos, cute games that trick the ninja into smiling, and golf that is way too addictive for its own good. The Neo Geo AES+ feels like the same old dojo… but with modern improvements. Original Neo Geo energy, new hardware convenience, big controllers, big games, and a big danger to my free time.
