Many videos about Thailand currently give the impression that everything is spiraling out of control. Warnings, panic, and apocalyptic scenarios are everywhere. I've lived in Thailand for several years, have a visa and a work permit, pay my taxes, and abide by the laws. That's precisely why I want to share my personal perspective on the current media coverage in this video. Is Thailand changing? Yes. Are rules being enforced more rigorously than before? Also yes. But constantly generating headlines about this, as if Thailand were suddenly no longer a safe or livable country, is, in my opinion, the wrong approach. Because one thing must not be forgotten: *Fear sells better than the truth.* This video is not a criticism of Thailand – but rather a plea for more objectivity and less fear-mongering.
