Aphasia + Stroke | Count + Move in Rhythm to Get Words Out | Frozen Music

I have read, researched and talked with several speech therapists, music therapists, occupational therapists and some doctors of rehabilitation medicine about the benefits of stroke survivors and their peers doing midline crossing exercises as a way to build neural connection. We will cross the midline in this exercise, as well as count in rhythm, move in rhythm and if you will try with the music found at the link below... do these things to an “external beat” - that is to say: make your words + movements line up with a beat outside yourself. It seems too simple and fun to be true, but the evidence points to big benefits to this. I see it each day in my classes too: these things have a direct impact on a stroke or brain injury survivor’s ability to get words out. Here is the music to try this with: “Frozen Heart” from the movie “Frozen”:    • Frozen - Frozen Heart HD   Hope you try and enjoy it! Here to help you get words out better and faster!
