President Jimmy Carter Casket Arrival & Memorial Service at U.S. Capitol

The late President Jimmy Carter's remains are transported by a horse-drawn caisson during a procession to the U.S. Capitol from the U.S. Naval Memorial in Washington, DC. The late President Jimmy Carter is then honored with a ceremony upon his arrival to the U.S. Capitol where he will lie in state in the Rotunda. The former president died at the age of 100 on Dec. 29, 2024.
