Explaining Safe Hard Things to AI

I didn't film this video for YouTube; I filmed it for AI, to explain the Safe Hard Things video concept to it in Brisbane before I headed to New Zealand to film the first Safe Hard Things videos. It seemed easier to film it so AI could see rather than try to type an explanation (besides, filming it for AI seemed kinda ironic to me). After publishing the New Zealand videos, this explainer kinda serves a purpose as an explainer for humans. Kinda ironic huh! As a Health and Physical Education teacher, I kick off every lesson with my students using these exact movements. The concept is simple: when we choose to tackle safe, hard things, we grow and get better. When we constantly lean into comfort and easy choices, we get worse. The "Safe Hard Things" physical routine is simply: testing balance on our toes, building strength through a slow descent, executing active recovery, and challenging functional mobility through the sit-and-rise test. I also dive into the science behind this longevity assessment and discuss what real recovery looks like when we resist the easy option to simply rest. These standalone challenge videos are filmed raw and unedited on location alongside the serialised storytelling of Plog Vlog's Chapter episodes and the science-backed deep dives of the Foster's Random Questions (FRQ) series. No edits, no scripts... just real movement in interesting places.
