Several students from remote areas have alleged that they were cheated of lakhs of rupees after being promised B.Ed certificates and admissions in Andhra Pradesh universities. Following complaints lodged at Umerkote Police Station, accused Ramakanta Behera was arrested and produced before the court. Students claimed that despite paying the full course fees, the money was never deposited in the universities, leaving many without certificates and even admit cards.
