Others seek it in audiobooks for the soul, audiobooks that nourish the spirit, but few stop to consider that losing one's soul is not a light metaphor; it is the greatest tragedy a human being can experience. The Scriptures say that a body without a soul is incomplete, that a body without a soul has no direction or purpose. That's why people wonder if a body without a soul can feel, if a body without a soul can dream. They also ask: How are the soul and the spirit different? Some think they are the same, others say that the spirit is the voice that connects and the soul is what feels and remembers. There are those who claim that a body without a soul has no life, that a body without a soul is only matter, that a body without a soul cannot pray, that souls are eternal because they come from God. Others ask: What is the soul like? What is the soul like? What is the soul like from Christ's perspective? They question whether the soul leaves the body at death, whether the soul leaves the body when we sleep, whether the soul's sleep is divine rest or a spiritual bridge. There is also the difficult question: Does the soul go to hell? Does the soul go to hell if there is no repentance? Some say the soul goes to hell; others ask what the soul is like before judgment, whether the soul goes to hell, or if hell is the final separation from God. The truth is, no one should live in a body without a soul, because a soulless body cannot walk in God's plan, recognize God's plan, or trust in the plan that was written before time began. Spurgeon said there is no greater tragedy than a soulless body that lives without seeking an encounter with God, without desiring connection with God, without understanding that God's plan is redemption, not pointless punishment. That is why we pray with Christ: Soul of Christ, prayer; Soul of Christ, prayer; Soul of Christ Prayer, because this prayer is not just a pretty phrase; it is the supplication that unites souls with the Savior's sacrifice. Then we remember that speaking with God is not exclusive to religion, that God without religion is still God, that He does not want you to lose your soul, and that an encounter with God is always possible as long as there is grace. Because God did not come to condemn souls, but to save souls, and no soulless body should walk this earth without asking itself, even just once: My God, what is your plan for me?
