How to Paint Your Engine Cover

We are going over the steps to paint an engine cover for a 2020 Mustang GT. The cover in this video is a custom made cover, however this process is universal and can be used on an OEM cover. The paint and primer used is an Engine Enamel which resists temperatures up to 500°F; overkill for an engine cover. Note: Enamel paints have a recoat window. A recoat window means you only have an allowable time frame in which you can apply each coat of paint. After this time frame, Enamel must fully cure which usually take about one week.
