Freestyle Improvisation - Yan Khmelevsky (cello) & NIkita Shestakov (piano)
I would like to present to you my very dear friend - Yan Khmelevsky - talented cellist and composer, whom I know already for over 10 years. We studied together at the high school in Belarus, and since 2016 we improvise together. Since we went to study to different univercities in Europe, we haven't seen each other for 1.5 years, and few days ago he came over to my place for couple days. We felt so excited to play together again, and in this improvisation we tried lots of crazy things. It's a mix of our own fantasies, themes of other composers, themes from our own compositions, mockery and jokes. Actually for us it is very interesting to see which famous pieces or quotes/references to famous pieces by other composers did you find?) Write down in the comments!
