After the rain, I went for an evening walk along the waterfront. There's something special about being outdoors after it rains—the trail looks greener, the air feels fresher, and the scent of the trees and earth seems stronger. During my walk, I spotted a Great Blue Heron standing quietly by the water. Before September 2025, I had never seen one in person. Since then, I've seen one several times, including multiple sightings over the last two months. Each time, it stops me in my tracks. I watched it for a while, continued my walk, and when I returned, it was still there. Its patience, grace, and stillness made me pause and reflect on what those qualities might mean in my own life.
