Laura Dave joined us for a “Bookaccino Live” Book Group event to discuss her most recent novel, THE FIRST TIME I SAW HIM. This sequel to THE LAST THING HE TOLD ME is a Reese’s Book Club pick and a Bookreporter Bets On selection. Laura shared how she came to write this instant New York Times bestseller and what matters to her when it comes to writing and her writing process. She talked about the Apple TV series “The Last Thing He Told Me,” which recently wrapped up its second season, and offered a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at how a streaming show comes together. We also heard about her current screenwriting project, which is adapting THE NIGHT WE LOST HIM for a Netflix film and working in tandem with her Oscar-winning husband, Josh Singer.
