The Gospel, as Saint Paul says, “is a saving force from God”: it is like a mustard seed or a small portion of leaven which, sown or mixed into the dough, grows little by little, day after day, until it reaches a size that no one could suspect. But this growth, the Apostle concludes, is only possible “for those who believe” and, believing, pray and receive communion with love and profit.
