Victory by Pure Luck? | As We Descend EP:17

After defeating two elites and the previous boss with our Guild squad, I went into this week's cycles feeling... a little too confident. After all, what could possibly go wrong during a "quiet" week mostly focused on expeditions? Well... quite a lot. Some expeditions proved that my strategy was working. Others reminded me that I still manage to forget some of the game's most basic mechanics. And, as always, a few lucky moments helped more than I'd like to admit. Despite all that, we accomplished something our Votive run couldn't. We defeated The Warlock and successfully completed another descent! The final battle was anything but clean. One by one, almost every unit fell until only a single Dive Suit remained. Ironically, the unit I wasn't sure about at the beginning of the run ended up saving it. Against all odds, that lone survivor dealt the final blows and secured another victory. It wasn't pretty. It wasn't elegant. But a win is a win... and we'll gladly take it.
