11. From Exile to Glory: Haggai and Zechariah's Vision of Renewal | Haggai 2:9

In this class, we continue our study of Haggai 2 with one of the most uplifting promises in prophetic literature: “The glory of this latter House shall be greater than the former... and in this place I will give peace, says Hashem of Hosts.” (Haggai 2:9) What “glory” is Haggai talking about? How can the rebuilt Temple — smaller and less magnificent than Solomon’s — surpass it? To answer that, we turn to a parallel prophecy: 🔹 Zechariah 6:11–15 — the mysterious vision of the Branch (Tzemach) who will build the Temple of Hashem and unite kingship and priesthood.
