Best First Mountain For Mtb

Strava Link -   / strava   Many people ask me to recommend a good first to try on the mountain bike, and while there are few options, this is probably the one I would recommend first. Sgòr Gaòith sits at 1111m high, but is about as accessible as they come. There really are two sides to this mountain. The way up is about as mellow and easy as you can get for a mountain of this height. The other side however, is extremely steep and exposed, which leads to amazing views. There are two different ways up this one, I took the steeper push up rather than the longer, but fully cycle-able (e-bike) route further up Glen Feshie and via Mullach Clach a'Bhlàir. There are also 4 different way down, but I think that the route in this video is the most straight forward and accessible to do. Please avoid if it's been raining before though, as it gets very boggy and the trail erodes at a faster rate as a result.
