Solo Creekside Truck Camping | It Got Cold!

This week on Cassidy’s Adventures, Zinger and I load up in ol’ Black Dodge and head out for a peaceful truck camping trip. On the way, we make a quick stop at a small vintage camper event and give y’all a little walkthrough before skedaddling out and getting back to what we came for—finding a quiet place to camp. We end up discovering a beautiful, secluded creekside campsite with the water rolling peacefully… just me and Zinger, away from it all. We get camp set up, try a little fishing (no luck this time!), and then get a fire going using a new fire-starting setup you’ll have to see. After that, it’s time for some good campfire cooking—pork chops on the old Coleman stove—and relaxing by the fire as the sun goes down. For the night, we wind down in the camper watching a classic episode of Grizzly Adams, then wake up to some unexpectedly freezing cold temperatures the next morning. We get a fire going again, make some coffee, try fishing one more time (still no luck 😅), pack things up with a few laughs along the way, and head out. Sometimes it’s not about catching fish or having everything go perfect—it’s about slowing down, enjoying the moment, and being thankful for time out in God’s creation.
