Caroline Shaw 'and the swallow' (arr. Azkoul) The United Strings of Europe perform a new arrangement of Caroline Shaw's 'and the swallow' available on the ensemble's new album 'Renewal'. Listen to the album: https://naxos.lnk.to/BIS-2549 Caroline Shaw was inspired by the refugee and migrant crisis in Syria and in central America, setting this work to Psalm 84 from the New Testament. The work emphasises the need for a home, to protect and provide for one's own. This message resonates very strongly with us.
