Solar powered 51 mt well in Rural Thailand

hi guys welcome to down under in Thailand today we are planning for the future. if you followed the recent vlog you know that we've extended, and we've been growing various things. Flowers, vegetables, all sorts of things. But we've actually gone over one fence line over into the niece's property and put in a rai of Everything. Flowers, of vegetables Etc. And then we went one more fence line across into Mem's sister's property and she put in another rai of flowers there. So each time we're going further and further away from our Farmhouse and our work center. That predominantly happened because on her niece's Farm they not long ago put down a 1500 W solar pump 6-in casing going down. And a good size pump down, I believe 45 mts. We've been using that with lots of poly pipe. 35 mil pipe. And piping that all over our property and feeding those two properties where Mem's extended into. Well Mem's been asking for a solar pump and we put in a small one a 750 watt and it doesn't really pump a great deal. And yet the 1500 watt does more than double, maybe triple very easily the amount of water. it makes an enormous difference. Water is life here. No water you can't do anything. If you have water you can do everything. So we're working towards the future and we've decided to duplicate that setup from her niece's property. We're going to put in a 1500 W solar pump. But I don't have the money for that at the moment. But I do have the money to actually put down the 6in Bore casing and they're talking about 45 mts which seems to be the norm in this area when you ask drillers. But we're at the pointy end of the dry season. So at the moment the water table won't get much lower than what it is. We do at times find that that solar pump on the other property does stop and start. I think it might be just on the edge of the the water table at the moment. I've noticed actually a bit of bubbling or whatever in our other electric pumps up near the tanks too. Taking extra long time to fill the tanks again. So I think we're marginal at that point. We're at the pointy end of the season so now's the best time to put a bore in, because when they put it down obviously they've got to show the owner, us, that they're getting good water. I'm going to push them to see if I can go 50 m or 55 M. So conceivably even in the driest season, at least that pump should always be picking out water. But being pointy end where the water table is down low it's a very good time to actually be putting and verifying the actual water available from that particular bore. So that bore casing is going in. it'll be a little while before I'll then buy the pump, control and panels to go on it. But we get that in now and then that's all sort of set to go. The other is just a matter of sliding down the other pump and Pipework. Connecting in and setting up the the solar panel which is a couple of days work for the contractor we know it does it. We're off and running. So get that pipe in. Now we're heading towards Rice season in a few months and rainy season. But that's no big deal. We're looking to actually get this pump in and running for after Rice season. As we head back into the hot period, things dry. Then we'll be able to put in a lot more planting. Because when the rice crop goes in those two areas on the nieces' farm and the sister's Farm ,well there'll be history. They'll be turned in and that will be underwater, that'll be a rice paddy. We'll maintain the flow and vegetable on that road to minau area which is a raised area. So that's cool. But when the rice season finishes and we get to period where the paddy dried out, we'll get the tractors in quickly and turn them. We'll put in those extra flower crops, vegetable crops, etc etc in the area close. I'm at the house here now. Tank room over there. Just in the Gap there you can see the flowers that's on the road minau. But we're going two properties beyond that. We've order at the moment. What we're looking to do, we've got quite a few Rai here that we can irrigate. Heaps of land. Much bigger than what we're actually snaffling from the niece and the sister. So we're putting in that pump to feed that after this coming Rice season towards the end of this year. So that's what we're up to at the moment. You know hopefully that'll bring the walking down a bit. It'll be, where we're cultivating, will be a lot closer to our property. The guys are down here now. I've been along here and just cut this walkway to make it easier. Cuz the guys will be coming and going from the the house. They have a pickup there which has a drill rig on the back. They're going to be doing the drilling. So that's cool but beyond that it's just a bit of hard work and graft for these guys.
