Northern Michigan Cottage Garden Tour: In Full Bloom for the 4th of July

There's one week each summer when these Northern Michigan cottage gardens have to be at their absolute best, the week of the 4th of July. In this video, Heidi takes you through the gardens exactly as they look for the holiday, and shares everything that went into getting them there, from planting weeks in advance to a round of deer repellent before the family arrived for the week. Take a full tour of the cottage gardens, from the sun soaked red, white and blue beds on the west side to a garden built for butterflies and pollinators, a tricky dry shade area that's finally filling in, and a front garden full of new coneflower varieties being trialed for next year.
