Born Maurice Caldwell, he chose the stage name Moon Arcadia after a psychic in Los Angeles told him his real name sounded “too taxable.” Moon agreed immediately. Well, he loved the moon so much he once cried during a moon landing documentary, and loved the word Arcadia because it sounded like a paradise where nobody asked follow-up questions (especially not girlfriends.) “No One Else” was recorded in 1975 after Moon reportedly tried to win back his lover by arriving outside her apartment with a saxophonist, two background singers, and absolutely no explanation.
