Harmonic Atheist - Interview with Tyler: When Christianity doesn't add up anymore

(We chat informally for the first few mins, skip to minute 7 if you want to get right to the interview.) Today I spoke with Tyler, who shared his journey out of Christianity. We walked through his childhood and young adulthood, which were passionately focused on the Bible, the Gospel, ministry, and missions. Tyler shared how his time with New Tribes Mission / Ethnos 360 created an environment in which various classes, experiences, and theological issues led him to deconstruct his faith, and to eventually--and joyfully--leave Christianity behind. We discussed some of the difficult memories regarding how Tyler was treated in the Christianity community as a gay man, and how he has learned to express even more grace with others as a result. My time chatting with Tyler was one of my most memorable interviews so far. His sincerity, kindness, gentleness, introspection, maturity, patience, and core value of building relationships were humbling, and a breathe of fresh air. Thanks to Tyler for sharing his journey with openness and bravery. I look forward to our next talk! ______________________________________ Your support for my channel, Harmonic Atheist, is very appreciated.   / harmonicatheist   The more support I receive, the sooner I can do this full time! --Tim
