Munich 2025 - Minerals de Lux

David Giacomini from Minerals de Lux is creating a lot of conversations in the mineral world. He's a field collector who stumbled upon a way to create incredible-looking alum crystals which he grows and glues to a real mineral matrix. These creations look INCREDIBLY like stunning Fluorites on matrix...but they're not. And he doesn't sell or promote them as natural in any way. Nevertheless, they're beautiful to look at and enjoy. So is this bad because it has the potential for the pieces being sold, down the line, as expensive fakes? Or is this good because it's an artistic expression of a man who has found a very compelling way of crafting something beautiful? There may be no right or wrong answer here BUT this is a FANTASTIC jumping off point for a real, in-depth conversation. Watch this video and share your thoughts in the comments.
