Gasometria Arterial - Básica

The term arterial blood gas analysis refers to a type of blood test collected from an artery to evaluate the gases (oxygen and carbon dioxide) distributed in the blood, its pH (if the information is only to assess pH, venous blood gas analysis can be performed), and its acid-base balance. This same sample can also measure electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, ionic calcium, and chloride, depending on the blood gas analyzer used. The most commonly assessed parameters in arterial blood gas analysis are: pH 7.35 to 7.45 pO2 (partial pressure of oxygen) 80 to 100 mmHg pCO2 (partial pressure of carbon dioxide) 35 to 45 mmHg HCO3 (necessary for blood acid-base balance) 22 to 26 mEq/L SaO2 (arterial oxygen saturation) greater than 95% Prof. Éder Marques teaching@PracticalNursing www.praticalnursing.com #PracticalNursing #ProfEderMarques
