Eurovision Weekend 2016 Berlin: Interview with Sandra Reemer (Netherlands 1972, 1976, 1979)
The Eurovision Weekend 2016 took place in Berlin, Germany from 15 - 17 July 2015 where national and international fans gathered to celebrate a Eurovision Summer party with the participation of Eurovision performers: Esther Hart (The Netherlands 2003), Sandra Reemer (The Netherlands, 1972, 1976 & 1979), Zoe (Austria 2016) and Laura Pinski (German National Selection 2016). It was the fifth Eurovision Weekend from the centre of Berlin. A new element was added to the event being the OGAEvision Song Contest replacing the previous Cover Contest adding more quality and professionalism to the event. Artists from 12 different countries competed in the first edition of the OGAEvision Song Contest which was won by 18 year old Sebastian Calleja from Malta who performed the song "Golden Boy" (Israel 2015). In this clip see the interview that Eric from Radio International did with Sandra Reemer who represented the Netherlands three times at the Eurovision Song Contest, in 1972, 1976 and 1979 and was backing vocalist in 1983. In 1972 with "Als het om de liefte gaat" with Andres coming fourth. Then in 1976 Sandra represented the Kingdom of the Netherlands with "The Party is over now" coming nineth and in 1979 she reached Number 12 with "Colorado" as Xandra. In 1983, Sandra Reemer was the backing vocalist when Bernadette represented the Netherlands with the song "Sing me a song" that reached Number 7 in Munich, Germany. Sandra was also a member of the Dutch Divas which as a trio enjoyed successes together with Maggie McNeal (1980) and Marga Bult (Marcha, 1987). She also hosted the Dutch version of "Do you want to bet" on Dutch TV.
