On the 11th of February 2018, Lagos stood still to celebrate the iconic lady of substance who has encapsulated Nigerians both home and abroad with her remarkable contributions in the movie industry. Omotola Jalade Ekeinde ‘Omosexy’ as she’s popularly called celebrated her fortieth fabulous birthday in a most remarkable way. The five-day packed event was rounded up by an unforgettable ball which held at the prestigious Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. It was a night of glamour that commemorated not just her fortieth birthday but her 20th Wedding Anniversary with her husband, Captain Matthew Ekeinde. Years after becoming the United Nations World Food Programme Ambassador and a UNSDG United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Ambassador, Omotola Ekeinde received yet another award as presented by Adebola Williams, at the event. She received a United Nations Honorary Award as one of the most influential Black People in the World, in commemoration of the Decade of People of African Descend. Notable stars in the entertainment industry were present at the event, even prominent political leaders and diplomats were all in attendance. The guests had a thrilling night of dance performances, music highlights, lots to eat and drink and side attractions on the red carpet. Her grand entry into the hall was remarkably magnificent and one befitting of a queen.
