"The Hairy Biscuits" debut at Sims' Country BBQ in Dudley Shoals, NC (June 27, 2026).

The "Biscuits" performed as the opening act at Sims' BBQ in Dudley Shoals, NC, on Saturday, June 27, 2026. The three boys (Rudy - banjo / Mack - guitar / Blake - bass) are in high school together, and this is their first performance at any place other than at school. Their school pastor has a saying: "You gotta hang in there, like a hair in a buttermilk biscuit!" and so they named themselves, "The Hairy Biscuits." The regular band complimented the Biscuits later in the evening. The Biscuits performed crowd favorites: Foggy Mountain Breakdown, Rocky Top, When the Saints Go Marching In/I'll Fly Away medley, and Whoa! Mule! Whoa! banjo solo. A big "Thank You" to Sims' BBQ for allowing the boys to perform there!
