Founded by pastor Darren Whitehead in 2013, Church of the City quickly became a home for many of the artists, songwriters, and creatives who call "Music City" home. In 2016, a collection of these artists gathered together to begin writing songs in response to all they were experiencing in the church and around the city. Church of the City's debut EP, due in early 2020, is the first recorded collection of these songs. Recorded live with their church family and led by worship leaders Chris McClarney and Jon Reddick, along with a rotating cast of worship leaders and musicians, this project marks a new chapter in the Church of the City story as its songs go out the world for the first time.
