Huge Scam Or Fair Price? 🇪🇬

"Im not like the people who hassle you outside!" A pushy local assured me he's NOT a guide while hassling me and blocking my path talked me into a camel ride. Instead of taking in one of the wonders of the ancient world, I spent most of my visit fending off a non-stop stream of touts, salespeople, fake guides, and camel handlers - constant hassle that genuinely ruins what should be a bucket-list experience. Worn down by it all, I ended up doing the one thing every guide warns about - taking a camel ride at the pyramids. Camel ride scams are some of the most notorious in Egypt: the price agreed at the bottom that climbs the moment you're up, the extra demanded just to get back down, the "tip" that turns into an argument. I wanted to see how it really plays out when you're the tourist in the saddle - the deal I was offered, what I actually paid, and whether it was a fair price or just another Egypt tourist trap. So what do you reckon: fair deal, or did I get scammed?
