How to Replace RV Awning Fabric on an Electric Awning

This video shows how to replace the fabric on your RV power awning. It walks step by step through the process, making it easy to follow along. Having a friend to assist can be helpful! The steps include extending the awning out 12 inches, securing the awning arms for work, removing the screws, disconnecting the head assembly and roll tube, removing the awning fabric from the channel and removing the old fabric from the roll tube. Then, it’s time to install the new RV power awning fabric replacement. First, inspect the new fabric on a flat, clear surface to make sure it’s undamaged and positioned correctly. Next, the installation involves feeding the new fabric into the channel on the roller tube, making sure the fabric is centered, reinstalling the poly cord screws, rolling the awning fabric back up on the tube and reattaching the roll tube to the power awning arms.
