North Macedonia | A short trip to Skopje

I think it is fair to say that North Macedonia is not exactly among the most popular holiday getaways of Southeast Europe. While most people cram the most famous cities across Greece and Turkey, not much attention is given to the Balkan nations that are just neighboring these tourist hotspots. But if we focus on this country, the nature contained within its borders makes for a big part of its headlines and internet results, so its capital Skopje is oftentimes overlooked. This was probably what made me decide to visit this small city when I had to choose where to spend my time in North Macedonia. After a very intensive week exploring Greece, the laid back atmosphere of this city was just what I didn’t know I needed.
