Reno Nevada's Biggest Growth Year Yet | Full Development Update

Reno is in the middle of its biggest growth stretch in years, a new arena, a $350 million soccer district, thousands of new homes, and a wave of data centers most people haven't even heard about yet. Here's what's actually happening. If you're thinking about moving to Reno, buying a home here, or you're just a local trying to keep up with everything breaking ground right now, this update is for you. I'm breaking down every major project shaping the region, what's confirmed, what's still proposed, and what it actually means if you're looking at real estate here. 🏟️ We start with the Grand Sierra Resort Arena, a $435 million, 300,000 square foot project that broke ground in September 2025 and will become the new home for Wolf Pack basketball in 2027. It's part of a billion dollar, decade-long redevelopment of that entire 140-acre property. 🎉 Downtown, Jacobs Entertainment just wrapped Phase One of the Neon Line District, including Reno's first dedicated outdoor festival grounds. I'll also cover the much bigger, much longer-term vision for Phase Two. ⚽ Then there's The Boulevard Reno, a proposed $350 million soccer and entertainment district near Kietzke and Peckham that would bring professional soccer back to Reno for the first time since 2020. 🏡 On the housing side, I'm walking through what's actually being built in South Reno versus North Valleys, why they're such different markets, and where affordable housing projects fit into the bigger picture. 📊 And I'll wrap up with something most people overlook entirely, the explosion of data center development happening across Northern Nevada and why it matters for jobs, housing demand, and the local economy. Some of this is already under construction. Some of it is still working through city approvals. I'll be clear about where each project actually stands so you know what's real and what's still on the drawing board. ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ 🤔If you're thinking about relocating to or moving to Reno, Nevada, or any surrounding areas, I'd love to help!
