EPP? Hexagons? English Paper Piecing and the quilt that's been 24 years in the making!

What is EPP? I first heard hexagons referred to as English Paper Piecing about 5 years ago. After a bit of consultation with quilting friends, we concluded that it is called English Paper Piecing to differentiate from foundation piecing or foundation paper piecing. I've always just called it paper piecing. In English Paper Piecing the fabric is placed over a shape (in this case hexagons) and tacked down until it's stitched to other shapes. In foundation piecing or foundation paper piecing the fabric is stitched onto a foundation in a set order to make a block.
