Behind the Hype: Should you ever build a Data Vault in a Lakehouse?
The Data Vault methodology has seen huge success and uptake in the world of relational data analytics and has a hugely passionate base of practitioners who vouch for it's benefits. However, there has recently been a pattern of companies lifting and shifting their existing data vaults into a Lakehouse architecture and my question is... should they? In this video Simon shares his opinion as to why the benefits of Data Vault are targeted at issues with relational database systems that don't necessarily apply when we're in a Lakehouse world.
