I'll be honest I've never been a fan of reflection pools!! There is no doubt that even a small body of water can be a real magnet to wildlife and birds in particular. Everything needs access to water to survive, period. I therefore took the decision to create a small drinking/bathing pool at the permanent hide just to see what it would attract. Within a couple of hours we had dragonflies, a small flock of Goldfinches and much more!! I was on a bit of a mission with this project as we had a decent-ish forecast for the next 48hrs.
