Ho Sottoesposto la pellicola più lenta del mondo di 2 stop | POV
Welcome to the channel! Today I underexposed the world's slowest film by 2 stops: here's my test with the Rollei RPX 25 exposed at 100 ISO with my 1958 Rolleiflex 3.5T. In this POV video, I'll show you step-by-step how I set up spot exposure with the Lightme smartphone app, setting the parameters with zero compensation to achieve strong, graphic shadows and clean silhouettes. In the darkroom, we'll go through the development process using Bellini Hydrofen compensating developer at a 1+31 dilution at a controlled temperature of 20°C to protect our highlights from white block. Finally, we'll digitally scan our wet negative to evaluate the results of this intentional underexposure technique. If you're looking for a practical, educational, and user-friendly method for mastering the contrast of analog black and white in bright sunlight, this is the video for you! The Rollei RPX 25 is a beloved slow film, but shooting it handheld at ISO 100 requires precision. If you want to understand how to safely set your exposure without wasting a roll, I'll explain my method in this practical guide. We'll see how my Rolleiflex and the Lightme spot meter work together to preserve highlights and eliminate unnecessary details. In the darkroom, the development phase will be crucial: I'll reveal my personal recipe with Hydrofen and how it affects the contrast of the negative before moving on to digital scanning in Photoshop. Underexposing an ultra-slow film like the RPX 25 is a challenge, but if you love deep shadows and pure whites, this underexposure technique combined with proper compensatory development will change the way you photograph. In the next video, we'll see how to optimize this high-contrast negative shot with the Rolleiflex on your computer, so be sure to subscribe and turn on notifications so you don't miss the next chapter! In the meantime, get out there and destroy the blacks. Peace!
