Escher (Tumbling) Plate
I've seen a few of these on the internet, and watched a few YouTube videos to see how others have made them. I was really excited to try this out, and happy with the results. Some fellow YouTubers have made this look really easy, but I found that some steps take a lot of trial and error to get it right. In the end, I wish I had picked a lighter wood for the 3rd square, but in person there is a little more contrast than what you can see in pictures. Inspired by M.C. Escher's works, this Tumbling plate measures 8" across, is made from Black Walnut, English Walnut and Cherry segments. It was finished with HUT's friction polish and buffed to a shine. I hope you enjoy! Filmed on an iPhone7 Plus and a GoPro Hero4 Session
