Sejarah kota Bandung pada masa kolonial Belanda

#history #bandung #bandungcity The city of Bandung was not established simultaneously with the formation of Bandung Regency. It was built much later than the regency itself. Bandung Regency was established around the mid-17th century AD, under the first regent, Tumenggung Wirangunangun. He ruled Bandung Regency, with its capital in Krapyak (now Dayeuhkolot), approximately 11 kilometers south of the current center of Bandung City. When Bandung Regency was led by the 6th regent, R.A. Wiranatakusumah II (1794-1829), nicknamed "Dalem Kaum," power in the archipelago shifted from the Dutch East Indies Company (VOC) to the Dutch East Indies government, with the first Governor-General, Herman Willem Daendels (1808-1811). To facilitate his duties on the island of Java, Daendels built the Great Post Road (Groote Poshweg) from Anyer at the tip of West Java to Panarukan at the tip of East Java (approximately 1,000 kilometers). The highway was built by the indigenous people under the leadership of their respective regents. Source: https://www.bandung.go.id/sejarah Aerial Coverage by: Abu Marlo
